Referring to the upcoming film city project in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister stated that if such infrastructure had existed earlier, artists like Ravi Kishan would not have needed to struggle in Mumbai. He informed that filmmaker Boney Kapoor has sought time on April 24 for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the film city. The Chief Minister asserted that the initiative will provide a platform for youth in Purvanchal and across Uttar Pradesh to learn acting and showcase their talent within the state, eliminating the need to migrate elsewhere.
This was not the first instance of public banter between the Chief Minister and Ravi Kishan. On a previous occasion, the Chief Minister had jokingly remarked that after delimitation and the implementation of 33 percent women’s reservation, the Gorakhpur parliamentary seat could be allocated under the women’s quota, potentially affecting Ravi Kishan’s candidature.
